The purpose of a Comprehensive Plan is to articulate the vision for a community. It should help decision makers evaluate proposals by providing a comprehensive strategy for guiding development and associated services and infrastructure to be sustainable, efficient and consistent with the community’s vision.
We understand the challenges of Colorado’s small communities ranging from maintaining small town character, facilitating economic growth, discovering/maintaining community identity, and protecting natural resources to the struggles from lack of infrastructure and the high cost of services and staffing. MDS has successfully worked with a diverse range of communities throughout the state to create comprehensive plans with an achievable community vision for the future.
