Planner / Building Permit Expeditor
MDS a leader in building permit expediting and entitlement services throughout the State of Colorado. We have an immediate opening for a Planner / Building Permit Expeditor.
This qualified individual will have experience in land use planning, entitlement, permitting, building and safety plan checking, including the review of requirements for architectural and life/safety, structural, accessibility, and energy, as well as experience in working directly with developers, contractors and other professionals. Experience with the regulatory processes involved in permitting, entitlement and demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with approving authorities a must!
Qualified applicants possess technical excellence in specialty area that are critical to the success of the firm. He/she will additionally source and follow up on business development leads. Qualified candidates shall have excellent communications skills (both oral and written), a working knowledge of building codes, land use development regulations, possess research/analytical skills, the ability to make progress on multiple tasks at one time and capable of working with little supervision.

Requirements for this position include:
- BA in planning or related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience or at least one year of graduate-level studies in planning, architecture, urban design or related field is preferred
